Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA)
CTU’s Master of Science in Healthcare Management program is an Associate Member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). As a global network of colleges, universities, faculty, individuals and organizations, AUPHA nurtures excellence and innovation in health management and policy education, and scholarship. The Association works to improve the delivery of health services throughout the world by educating professional managers.
Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business
Colorado Technical University is a member of Delta Mu Delta (Pi Gamma chapter), which supports CTU's ACBSP accredited bachelor's and master's programs. Delta Mu Delta is a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at qualifying college and universities to create a DMD community that fosters the well-being of its individual members and the business community through life-time membership.
National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) Program
The Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency have recognized Colorado Technical University as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program with a concentration in Cybersecurity Engineering was validated thereby to map to the DHS/NSA cybersecurity knowledge units. Assessing higher education programs throughout the country since 1999, the CAE Community, through this initiative, ensures that universities meet rigorous quality standards. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
www.shrm.orgThe Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that Colorado Technical University’s Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management have renewed their alignment with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. Throughout the world, 475 programs in 360 educational institutions have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates. The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines -- created in 2006 and revalidated in 2010, 2013, and 2017-- are part of SHRM’s Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop degree programs that follow these standards.
Carnegie Foundation
The Carnegie Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1905 and chartered in 1906 by an act of Congress. The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching is an independent policy and research center. Improving teaching and learning has always been Carnegie’s motivation and heritage.
The Carnegie Foundation classifies Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs as a “Doctoral/Research University” (DRU) and its Graduate Instructional Program as “Doctoral, STEM dominant” (Doc/STEM) and Undergraduate Instructional Program as “Professions focus, high graduate coexistence” (Prof-F/HGC).
CTU does not guarantee third-party certifications. Certification requirements for taking and passing certification examinations are not controlled by CTU but by outside agencies and are subject to change by the agencies without notice to CTU. Therefore, CTU cannot guarantee that graduates will be eligible to take certification examinations, regardless of their eligibility status upon enrollment.
